Young Kirrawee resident, Blake Skipper is ready for the new season of Sprintcar Racing. The 21-year- old now is his fourth season of Sprintcar racing will have a busy season 2014/15, where Blake will spend the majority of the season based at his home track, Valvoline Raceway but also take in some events in Queensland towards the end of the season.

“We will chase the Sprintcar Track Championship in Sydney,” Blake said. “There seems to be plenty of interest in the new ownership of Valvoline Raceway and there appears to be a lot of drivers basing themselves in Sydney. It looks like it will be a tough year.”

Last season, Blake found himself on the end of some terrible luck. It is definitely something he wants to put behind him, going into a new season.

“We are hoping to make the top ten in points, which would be a great result for us. Last summer, experience and mechanical problems cost me some results and I am keen to change that this time around.

“We have our sponsors from last season, for which I am grateful and our crew is ready for the season; it all looks promising. Let’s hope results reflect the effort.”

Blake’s season will commence this coming Saturday night, October 4 at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway.
