• The 2014/15 season for the Sprintcar Association of NSW is about to kick-off in spectacular style this Saturday night at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway.

A field of over fifty cars is expected for the running of the opening round of the Sprintcar Track Championship which doubles as the Brian Healey 410 Sprintcar Cup. Ironcally, the event celebrates the life of the man who introduced 410ci engines to Australia.

The event also marks the 750th Sprintcar main event at the venue.

Apart from a strong local contingent of stars, a healthy field of interstate drivers have nominated for the event. They are led by former Track Champion, South Australian, Trevor Green. Victorian star, Jamie Veal is also amongst the field of interstate drivers.

The interstate drivers will face the stiff opposition from the ‘Parramatta Posse’ including Grant Tunks, Max Johnston, Roddy and Toby Bellbowen, Jackson Delamont, Blake Skipper and a host of others. Current Track Champion Max Dumesny is in the field along with Robbie Farr who will start as one of the favourites for the 30 lap A-Main.

A full list of nominations can be found here: http://www.sprintcarsnsw.com/Calendar.asp?stateid=1

The event will feature time trials, beginning at 6pm followed by heat races, two dashes and the all-important D (if needed), C, B and A-Mains.

    When: Saturday, October 4
    Where: Valvoline Raceway
What time: Time trials begin at 6pm
    Nominations: 55
