Toby Bellbowen will have his first hit out for the new season, this Saturday night, when Valvoline Raceway holds its one and only pre-season practice night.

There has been plenty happening for Toby in the off season as he prepares for an assault on the traditional Sprintcar Track Championship at his home track - Valvoline Raceway.

“I'm pumped up to get behind the wheel again. It's been a few months since I've been in the driver's seat now. I travelled to the United States during our winter with the World of Outlaws and learnt quite a bit, so it's quite exciting to finally put that knowledge to the test,” Toby said today.

“Any chance we get some free laps on track, we try to take advantage. It's a rare thing to have any practice laps in Sprintcar racing, so we try to make the most of it in preparing for the up-coming season.”

Toby is also looking forward to seeing where his opposition is at in regards to their preparation for the new summer of speed.

“In this day and age, I'd say it's harder to avoid what others are doing, especially with social media, so I'm used to seeing what others are up to. I think any real racecar driver should thrive on competition, so I hope they are ready to get going because we sure are.”

Practice begins this Saturday night, September 20, at Valvoline Raceway from approximately 6:30pm and will conclude at approximately 10:00pm.
