  • Western Australia’s Rob Golding will join the Speedcar Pro Series as a contracted driver, for the first time in his career.

    Rob Golding – driving for Golding Motorsport - will draw upon the valuable experience gained from his team racing the entire inaugural Speedcar Pro Series season, as a non-contracted driver.

    “It’s a pretty big deal for a small team like us - I just can’t wait for the season start,” said Golding.

    “After completing the SPS last season, I’ve learnt that you really have to be on top of your game from the very start of the night with Time Trials – that’s an area I’m looking to improve on.

    “We’re also extremely lucky to have Ron Pymont, our crew chief, back for another year of racing.

    “Since Ron came on-board, both cars have seen consistent finishes in the top 5 and we also achieved 8 podiums last season.”

    Golding has heaped praise on his Western Australian counterparts and admitted that he is eagerly anticipating racing against Australia’s best speedcar drivers throughout the SPS.

    “In Western Australia, we are very lucky to have some of the best drivers in the country, such as Dayne (Kingshott), Scott (Glazebrook), and Neville (Lance) - we get to race them on a weekly basis,” continued Golding.

    “Add more of Australia's best speedcar drivers into the mix and it should be pretty exciting.”

    The addition of Rob Golding – representing Golding Motorsport – is a major coup for the Speedcar Pro Series.
