• With the dawn of a new racing season comes a new race team on the Australian Speedcar scene, with West Australia’s Bremel Motorsports today unveiling plans for a solid season that includes the Tim Crouch Memorial and the Australian Speedcar Title in 2015.

Former racer, turned team-owner Brett Matherson announced the new name and new logo today, overhauling the administration of the BM Motorsports garage to come under the banner of the Bremel Group Pty Ltd. “We’re really excited about these changes. But it’s far more than just a name change. After a lot of speculation around Australia, we can confirm that 9 time Motorplex Track Champion and President’s Cup winner, Scott Glazebrook will be the main driver of the #29 Harris Engines Eagle/Mopar, and will have a spare Spike/Hawk combo in the #29 car as a spare. We are also building a new transporter to make sure that Scott gets every chance to get the most out of this deal, especially with the current spec Mopar that ran 2nd in the Aussie title on board as well. Scott loves that combination and that was proved with two wins from two starts back at the start of 2014 in Perth,” Matherson said.

Glazebrook’s father, Ron will also take on a management role of the team, as they aim to take on a number of blue ribbon events throughout 2014/15 season. “The Glazebrook’s are so respected around the country, and even though you’d put Scott in your race car on his talent alone, what really makes this fun is that they’re just such great people with great history in the sport, and all of our racing partners are very excited about the prospects of having their name associated with such a great combination.”

The new-look team will welcome back some familiar faces as partners to the team, with Mark and Sue Thomas of Harris Engines claiming the naming rights sponsorship of the outfit and Courtney Bishop from the Pool Shop Group re-signing as a Silver sponsor.

“Our racing partners are like family to us and they are all excited about the season ahead, as are our other team partners in Bremel Consulting, KTEQ Rentals, GKR Transport, Southside Powder Coaters, The Force in Smash Repairs, Super Shox, Keizer Wheels, Slewrig Construction, Sweet Serendipity Cakes and Let's Talk Clothing.”

“We would also like to welcome Steve Mason from Statesman Campers coming on board as a bronze sponsor this season. Steve is an avid speedway fan who owns a local West Aussie business, “Racemate Storage Solutions.”

The first outing for the new look team will be the WASDA season opener at Ellenbrook Speedway on October 11. For more details, check out Bremel Motorsports on Facebook.
