Portland raised Wingless Sprint driver Daniel Storer had a stand out season just gone & the popular driver is very much champing at the bit to get stuck into a new season of racing, however not before thanking a few people & talking about the season just gone.

In the season Storer managed to finish second in the Parr Motorsport series overall that included also a couple of race victories, second in the state title at Premier Speedway and third in the season's Max Dumesny Motorsport aggregate.

Looking back on the season Daniel shared his favourite race and it might surprise you to know it wasn't a win. "The best race I had was with Joel Chadwick for 3/4s of the Victorian title race at Warrnambool whilst we were second and third. When I was low on the track he was high trying to pass and when I was high he was low trying to pick me off. It was so much fun until Joel had to pull out of the race."

Daniel is enjoying Wingless Sprint racing and shared what he enjoys most in the division. "The division is very competitive & you have to earn a win. We have good car counts, most drivers are friendly & helpful and the running costs are very affordable for a budget racer once they have all their gear."

The racing is a family team effort with Daniels pop Graeme, his father Bill and brother Luke making up the team & Daniel publicly thanks them all for everything they do & of course Nikky his girlfriend who is a great support also.

For the next season Daniel intends to run both the series on the Geelong side of the West Gate Bridge and the Victory Lane series in a Gippsland. Titles are on the cards with the Australian, South Australian, New South Wales & Victorian events in his sights whilst running at Speedway City & Sydney Speedway also interest him.

Storer has his eyes set on graduating to Sprintcars one day. If a drive in a Sprintcar becomes an opportunity he is keen to have a crack & prove his ability in the winged warriors.
