Night 1 -
The team rolled into Bordertown to take on the tight little bull ring. On a very fast little track there was no disappointment for the crowd as the Speedcars put on their show.

Heat 1 saw Mark start from pole to take away the win.
Starting out of 4 in heat 2 Mark was quickly up to 2nd trailing Paul Farrell in the V2. With Mark in hot pursuit he managed to get Paul as they entered turn 1 but slid slightly high allowing Paul to switch back and take again the lead. With only a couple if laps remaining this was how they'd finish.

The Dash - With a 1st and a 2nd in the heats, Mark was equal high points with the Q25 of Anthony Chaffey. Mark got the jump and took the lead on the start and never looked back taking the win and the pole for the feature.

A Main - With a few hiccups early only 12 cars would start in the main and with the track looking racey it was going to be a good race. Mark took the green and the lead with both Paul Farrell and Anthony Chaffey in hot pursuit. Mark had a moment or 2 in the first couple of laps with a huge bike in turn 3 when catching the cushion on entering the turn. He could run turns 1 & 2 full noise but with a heart stopping bike he had to enter 3 with caution.

As he gained momentum he pulled several car lengths clear and could hold both Farrell and Chaffey at bay. Mid race saw Farrell pull in field with a flat right rear after his bleeder let go while running a good solid second. Mark continued to lead with Chaffey and young Todd Waddell now up to 3rd. The race saw 3-4 cautions but on each restart Mark would continue to lead all 20 laps. This wasn't without a late challenge from Anthony Chaffey in the closing laps.

The team were happy with getting the win and now head on to Murray Bridge for night 2 which also doubles as the SA Championship. Mark will be looking for another win as he celebrates for his wifes birthday, fingers crossed he can get the job done.
