The Boys Are Back In Town

The Kendrick Racing hauler is on its way back to Western Australia after an intense campaign on the country's east coast tracks.
After the team fielded cars for Kerry Madsen and Jason Kendrick in the Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcars round in Warrnambool on Tuesday, they packed up the Double B transporter to return home.
But there will be no time for rest.
The truck is going direct to Bunbury to compete in a round of the AHG Sprintcar Series at the Southern WA city this Saturday night.
While it will be good for the team to be back home and racing on familiar tracks Team Principal Geoff Kendrick said they wouldn't be backing off as far as looking for results went.
Despite competing in about 20 race meetings in 30 days and not claiming a win Kendrick said they were reasonably happy with how things went.
"In a lot of our events we had one of the fastest cars on the track but just had a bit of bad luck and things did not go quite our way," Kendrick said.
This included a throttle sticking in a heat race in Warrnambool where they failed to get any finishing points and had to qualify for the event from the B Main.
"Kerry started off about 20th in the A Main and drove up to sixth place. "Had we got some points in that heat race we could have started on the first few rows and we would definitely have been a threat."
Kendrick was quick to point out that the team was still in good spirits and still hungry for some big results.
The second driver - Jason Kendrick - has continued to impress on his first east-coast campaign.
"We were not expecting him to win races," his father said. "But the amount he has improved is staggering and we are very proud of his efforts."
Both drivers are expected to be competitve in the Bunbury meeting this weekend.
"Kerry will be down there and will want to stake a claim on the Bunbury track while Jason will be a much better driver for the experience he has gained in the last month."
After a few nights of rest the team then heads for Kalgoorlie to contest the WSS round next Wednesday night.
From there it is back to Perth for the WSS Grand Final on February 5-6 and the Series Presentation dinner on February 7.
"After that we are then in Collie, before contesting the King of the Wings in Perth and the Krikke Boys Memorial in Bunbury so we still have plenty of big races left.
"And hopefully we can stand on the podium at all of those events."
