Burnout King To Be Decided
Author :
Andrew Roberts

The tyres will squeal and the rubber is set to fly as the annual Bunbury Burnout Masters will hit Coates Hire Bunbury Speedway on Saturday, January 30th.
Some of the state’s best cars will attend the once a year extravaganza. To be run in conjunction with the Sprintcar Face Off event, it will be the usual Holden vs Ford cries from the strong crowd expected for the show.
Promotions manager Andrew Roberts says the fans can expect a strong showing by the local cars as well as visiting competitors from Perth. “We hold this once a year with one of our bigger shows as there is a demand for it and we try to cater for everyone.”
At last years’ event there was a wide variety of cars to entertain the crowd. It was Nick Smith who impressed with his hot pink Torana.
The sprintcars will be out in force with several big names expected to return as the “month of money” for WA sprintcar racing fires up with some of the biggest races in Australia on offer. Ryan Farrell and Kerry Madsen will make their long awaited debut at the new track in Bunbury with the new surface which impressed the crews that raced there on Boxing Night.
Gates will open at 5pm with racing commencing at 6.30pm. Burnout format will take 10 cars into the final being the same as last year.
