Kendrick 92.9 Racing Half Way Home

Kendrick Racing is about half way through its ambitious east-coast campaign that is taking in rounds of Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcars and other big headline events.
“And we are pretty happy with the way things have gone so far,” team principal Geoff Kendrick said.
Kerry Madsen and Jason Kendrick have contested 11 race meetings since the Boxing Day WSS round in Adelaide and have had enjoyed some good results.
But rather than being content with where things are at Kendrick said they would be looking for a couple of wins before they returned to Western Australia to race at Bunbury on January 30.
This weekend the team’s impressive two-trailer hauler rolls into Parramatta before heading to Avalon next Wednesday, followed by Mt Gambier (Friday of next week), then the two-night Warrnambool Classic, followed by the WSS round at Warrnambool on Australia Day. From then they return to WA.
“Obviously it is a huge workload on the car, drivers and the crew and I have been flying back and forwards between a lot of the rounds but the racing has been awesome,” Kendrick said. “In general we have been happy with the way things have gone – Kerry has qualified for all the A mains and in most of them we have been in the top half a dozen. “Every race, with the Americans in, has been like an Outlaws race meeting featuring a bunch of tough Yanks and the best guys in Australia. “It’s tough out there but we are happy with where we are at.”
Kendrick reaffirmed that they wanted to win a couple of races soon and said they had seven races left to do that. He said the crew had worked well together but said it wasn’t an easy task with 10 crew on the road for six weeks and working in confined spaces.
Kendrick was also happy with the way his son Jason had performed, saying he was a better racer for competing against the best.
“I am extremely proud of what Jason is doing – he is not expected to be in the A Mains but he is becoming very competitive and learning how to pass cars. “And he has been qualifying in the top half of the field and is winning heat races.”
When the team returns to WA Kendrick believed his son would be a lot different driver and a lot more competitive in the local fields.
Putting such a big operation on the road is not easy and has been made possible with the support of the team’s loyal corporate partners. While the longer than usual transporter has been turning heads the next instalment is also likely to have the wow factor. A 3.6m long big screen will adorn the side of one of the trailers from this weekend.
“We will be using it to pay tribute to our sponsors and eventually I would like to have a microwave 6 “We have been able to do this with the support from one of our sponsors, Keneric Nominees, and I believe it is another way to take our sport to another new level.”
