Hollywood Comes To Town
Author :

"We are bringing a little bit of Hollywood to town," was how Geoff Kendrick responded when asked about his new transporter that left Perth on Tuesday aftemoon bound for Adelaide.

The two trailer combination has to be seen to be believed and according to Kendrick will take the presentation of the sport to a higher level.

The team's original B trailer will have the two cars and spare parts that will be used on the east coast assault by drivers Kerry Madsen and Jason Kendrick.

In front of that will be the A trailer that will also have two complete cars in the roof section and an upside down chassis kit.

In summary the team is taking five chassis and eight motors on the road and while it rnight seem like an overkill to some, it is all part of the plan to be prepared and do well according to Kendrick.

"We are doing 19 race meetings on the east coast in 30 days and everything is doubled because we have two drivers," the pumped up team owner said.

The campaign starts with round four of Performance WholesaleWorld Series Sprintcars in Adelaide on Boxing Day.

"Trailers like this will take the sport closer to the Australian V8 Supercar level and that is what we are trying to achieve.

"The bottom level of the front trailer also features living quarters and when people see what we have in the two trailers it will blow their mind away."

And being away for so long the team of six crew and two drivers will appreciate the modern comforts that will be hauled into the pits by the team's Iveco Stralis
prime mover.

Kendrick said it was a big effort getting everything ready for the most intense campaign he has ever been involved in.

"It took us five days to load this thing."

And now it is up to the drivers to put on some good results.

Naturally they are hoping that Madsen wins a few rounds of World Series and the aim is for Kendrick junior to get as much experience as possible and qualify for as many of the A Mains as possible.

"Not only has it been a big effort from the team, but also all our sponsors who have chipped in to make this happen," Kendrick said.

"All of our sponsors have made contributions to building this new A trailer and I would like to sincerely thank them all and hope that we can give them their just rewards by supplying excellent racing results.

"I am just so proud of the involvement of everybody to get us to this stage and now we are looking forward to rewarding everyone for their effort with some good results on the road.

"And with World Series being telecast on ONE HD we should be able to get some good exposure for our backers and everyone can see how we are going."

Kendrick Racing wishes all sponsors and associates a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
