New Racing Surface At Bunbury
Author : Andrew Roberts
After a lot of patience and a decent break from the winter rain, the brand new racing surface at Coates Hire Bunbury Speedway is now in full swing. Cartage of the new clay from a local quarry started mid last week and will take around two weeks for the job to be completed. The new track shape will also take place once the new clay had been laid in giving a bigger camber on the corners which will make for some entertaining sprintcar racing this coming season when Boxing night will see the first of some massive shows at Bunbury. Bunbury Car Club promotions manager, Andrew Roberts, cant wait for the new season to get underway. There will be some exciting racing this season, no doubt about it. What we are trying to do is collectively solve several issues with the track this year as well as providing the public with great entertainment. The new clay is of a good standard and the re-shaping of the track will see the corners banked to cater for a lot of outside passing. Something that race fans of Ryan Farrell are used to seeing. What we are hoping for is some really fast times around the circuit this year as the new surface dials in. To add to this, the new marketing branding with a major sponsorship with hire giant Coates Hire will see better spectator viewing, and new corporate areas set up at the venue.
